Norma J. Walker

Norma J. Walker, 90 years old, passed away on November 6, 2016 at Ledgewood Bay at Milford, surrounded by family. Norma was born and raised in Milford, NH, daughter of the late Byron E. and Mary V. (Lawrence) Gerry. She was married to Reginald G. Walker, Jr. for 68 years. They had two daughters and a son they raised in Amherst, NH. She trained as a Cadet Corp Nurse during World War II, graduated from Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and worked as an RN in the Emergency Room at Memorial Hospital for more than 20 years. Norma taught a 4-H sewing group, loved gardening, and needlecraft. She enjoyed traveling with Reg and they were members of the Holiday Ramblers Recreational Vehicle Club. Norma leaves her husband, Reginald G. Walker, Jr., Connie and Rob Blake of Milford, Marilyn and Robert Bentley of Arlington, VA, Reggie and Brenda Walker of Milford, NH; nine grandchildren: Linsey, Lori and Andrew Blake; Ben, Nathan and Sarah Bentley; Guy, Rebeka and Wesley Walker; three great grandchildren: Sagan Blake-Welsh, Kaia and Isaac Bentley; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
