Mary R. D'Amato

Mary R. D’Amato, 89, resident of Milford, NH, died June 1, 2011 at St. Joseph Hospital, Nashua, NH. She was born in Milford, NH on September 22, 1921, a daughter of Antonio and Anna (D’Andrea) Amadio. Mrs. D’Amato was a native of Milford where she made her home for most of her life and had also resided in Waterbury, CT for 15 years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, crafts and was an avid reader. Her true joy came from spending time with her family. Mrs. D’Amato was a communicant of St. Patrick Church, Milford. She was predeceased by her husband, Gaetano J. “Tony” D’Amato, who died in 1994 and a brother, Joseph Amadio, who died in 2004. Family members include a brother, Louis J. Amadio of Milford, NH; a niece, Alicia Shea and her husband, Malcolm of Milford; a nephew, Robert S. Amadio and his wife, Brenda of Milford; several nieces and nephews in Connecticut; also survived by great nieces, great nephews and a cousin. There are no calling hours. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 4th at 10:00 am in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Milford.
