� JOHN R. WILSON, SR. � John R. Wilson Sr., resident of Zephyrhills, FL died August 30, 2007 at Hawthorne Village in Ocala, FL. � Mr. Wilson was born in Arlington, MA on June 6, 1919, a son of the late Bertul & Anna (Krauklis) Wilson. � He lived in Zephyrhills, Florida for the past 23 years and formerly resided in Dover, NH and Amherst, NH. � Mr. Wilson had been employed as a nuclear power plant fitter for C.E. Avery Company, Newington, NH for over 20 years. � He was a charter member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, Nashua and attended Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Florida. � Mr. Wilson was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and proudly served in Australia, Southern Philippines, New Guinea and Luzon.�� In addition, he was a member of the American Legion. � He enjoyed gardening, carpentry and reading, with a particular passion for historical novels.�A dream he fulfilled, was to travel to Latvia, his parent's homeland, in 1992 with his brother, Carl. � He was a loving husband, a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather. � Mr. Wilson was predeceased by 3 sisters, Bertha Hynes, Ann Swamstrom and Sally Dyer; a brother, Willis Wilson. � Family members include his wife, Barbara L. (Thorn) Wilson of Ocala, FL with whom he would have celebrated 61 years of marriage on August 31st,�4 daughters and sons-in- law, Beverly & David Gage of Wilton, NH, Priscilla & Terry Clarkson of Hopkinton, NH., Christine & Clinton Lefabvre Ocala, FL, Barbara & Bill Wurst of Amherst, NH; a son, John R. Wilson Jr. of Milford, NH; 6 Grandchildren; 6 Great-Grandchildren;�a sister, Lucy Lawlor of Malden, MA; 2 brothers, Carl Wilson of Billerica, MA�and�Arvid Wilson of Mont Vernon, NH; many nieces and nephews. � A visiting hour will be held Thursday, September 6th�from 10:00 11:00 am in the�Messiah Lutheran Church�� 303 Route 101, Amherst, NH.�Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Meadowview Cemetery, Amherst, NH, with Military honors.�� In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County, 3231 SW 34th Avenue, Ocala, FL�34476 or charity of one's choice.�Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH, is in charge of arrangements.
