James R. Fowler, 50, resident of Mont Vernon, NH died on February 14, 2014 with his family at home. He was born in Neubrucke, Germany on October 13, 1963, a son of Ursula (Fischer) Fowler of Dunnellon, FL and the late Malcolm L. Fowler. Jim made his home in Mont Vernon for more than 30 years and formerly lived in Milford for several years. He had been employed for almost 30 years by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation, District 5, as a Construction Foreman. Jim was an avid Boston Bruins fan and devoted family man. He loved family games, playing cribbage with friends, music, and reading. He also could fix anything, enjoyed spending time outdoors and playing horseshoes. In addition to his mother, family members include his wife of 29 years, Pamela R. (Payne) Fowler of Mont Vernon; four children, 1st Lt. David Fowler, U.S. Army, stationed in Savannah, GA, Daniel Fowler of Worcester, MA, Christa Fowler of Lyndeborough, NH and Drew Fowler of Mont Vernon; three grandchildren, Matthew, Julieanna and Nickolis Fowler; a brother, Mark Fowler; many nieces and nephews. Memorial visiting hours are on Saturday, February 22nd from 1:00-4:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. There will also be a Celebration of Life Gathering for all family and friends starting at 3:00 pm at the local Milford VFW, 1 VFW Way, Milford.
