Harold W. Goss, Sr., 88, resident of Milford, NH, died March 17, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Nashua, NH. He was born in Nashua, NH on October 20, 1921, a son of the late Harold J. Goss and Mary E. (Lund) Goss. Mr. Goss was raised and educated in Nashua, NH and resided in Milford for more than 50 years. He had been employed by International Paper Box Company for 23 years and retired as a drafting designer from Sanders Associates, Nashua, in 1986 after 21 years of service. Mr. Goss enjoyed remodeling his home, working on cars, traveling and camping. In addition, he was an avid Red Sox fan and country music fan. He was a member of The First Congregational Church of Milford, UCC. Mr. Goss was a U.S. Army veteran having served during World War II. He was predeceased by his wife, Phyllis Laura (Slate) Goss and a brother, Donald Goss. Family members include his son, Harold Goss II of Milford, NH; three grandchildren, Kristina Johnson, H. John Goss and Mari Chapman, all of Milford; eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Goss of Milford and Laurence Goss of Glens Falls, NY; a niece and several nephews. Visiting hours are Monday, March 22nd from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am in the First Congregational Church of Milford, UCC, 10 Union Street, Milford. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery, Nashua. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the St. Joseph Community Services, Inc., Meals on Wheels Program, 395 D.W. Highway, P.O.
