Harold J. Tardiff, Sr.

Harold J. Tardiff, Sr., 74, resident of Weare, NH died on January 3, 2014 at his home. He was born in Portage Lake, Maine on June 13, 1939, a son of Alfred and Irene (Bouthot) Tardiff. He was raised and educated in Portage and attended Ashland High School, Ashland, Maine. Mr. Tardiff owned and operated Tardiff Construction, Inc. for more than 40 years. He was a member of Milford Council #3035, Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed country western music and especially listening to Elvis. Mr. Tardiff loved spending time with his family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Ada M. (Adams) Tardiff who died in 2011; a sister, Geneva and four brother’s, Fred, Abel, Lucien and Normand. Family members include three daughters, Heidi L. Gonzales and her husband, Peter of Weare, NH, Nancy Konkel and her husband, Rod of Falmouth, ME, Brenda Townes of Scarborough, ME; four sons, Mark Tardiff and his wife, Nancy of Porter, ME, Norman Tardiff of Brooks, ME, Harold Tardiff, Jr. of Westbrook, ME and Kevin Tardiff of Windham, ME; many grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a sister, Marilyn Nichols and her husband, Leroy of Waterville, ME; many nieces and nephews. There are no services. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
