Francis S. Chase, Sr.

Francis Stephen Chase, Sr., 67, resident of Nashua, NH, died March 26, 2008 at Tufts Medical Center, Boston, MA.� He was born in Manchester, NH on August 9, 1940, a son of the late Kenneth & Eleanor (Thompson) Chase. Mr. Chase resided in Nashua for the past several years and formerly lived in Amherst, NH and Jamestown, ND.� When he and his wife were first married they made their home in Somersworth, NH. While living in Jamestown, Mr. Chase served as the Mayor from 1992-1996.� He retired from a career in the Aerospace Industry, including positions at General Electric and Lucas Aerospace.� Mr. Chase was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a loving husband, a devoted father and grandfather and spent his retirement dedicated to taking care of his three grandchildren. Family members include his wife of 48 years, Gloria (Demers) Chase of Nashua, NH; three daughters, Lisa Boucher and her husband, Jason of Mont Vernon, NH, Lori Whitcomb and her husband, Kurt of Bedford, NH, Lynn Chase of Providence, RI; a son, Francis S. Chase, Jr. and his wife, Karen of Milford, NH; three grandchildren, Matthew Chase, Sarah Chase and Madison Whitcomb. There are no calling hours.� A memorial mass will be celebrated on April 12th at 1:00 pm in St. Patricks Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford, NH.� Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Somersworth, NH, at a later date.� Donations in his memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 249 Canal Street, Manchester, NH� 03101.�
