EUGENE L. TEDO CIARDELLI � DATELINE:�MILFORD, NH � Eugene L. Tedo Ciardelli, 88, resident of Milford, NH, died Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at Harborside Healthcare Center-Crestwood in Milford, surrounded by his family. � He was born on October 14, 1919, in Milford, NH, the second youngest of nine children, to his parents, Eugenio and Nicoletta (Carpentieri) Ciardelli. � Mr. Ciardelli was a lifelong resident of Milford, NH. � He had been employed by Abbot Industries in Wilton as a bricklayer/mason, textile mill and machine shop supervisor for more than 40 years. � Mr. Ciardelli was an avid hunter, charcoal artist, outdoorsman and gardener who proudly grew his own vegetables and apples.�In addition, he enjoyed cooking and savoring Italian meals with his wife, family and friends. � Mr. Ciardelli was a veteran of World War II, training on coast artillery at Fort Eustis, Virginia, then completing additional training at both Camp Stewart and Camp Gordon, Georgia.�He then shipped overseas to participate in the European Theatre of operations, serving with K Company, 319th Infantry, 80th Division of Patton's 3rd Army.�He fought in the Battle of The Bulge and participated in the Liberation of concentration camp prisoners in Ebensee, Austria. � He was a loving husband and father, a devoted grandfather and great-grandfather. � Family members include his wife with whom he would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on November 1st, Merilyn (Goodhue) Ciardelli of Milford; a son and daughter-in-law, David & Dale Ciardelli of East Kingston, NH; two grandchildren, Amanda Allen of East Kingston, NH and Adam Ciardelli of Tucson, AZ; four great grandchildren; a brother, Ernest (Babe) Ciardelli of Milford, NH; several nieces and nephews. � Calling hours are Sunday, November 4th from 1-4 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH.�A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 am in St. Patrick's Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford, NH.�Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Milford, with military honors.�Donations in his memory may be made to Souhegan Home & Hospice Care, 24 North River Road, Milford, NH�03055 or St. Joseph Community Service, Meals on Wheels Program, P.O.
