Edward W. Wojcicki, 97, resident of Nashua, NH, died August 6, 2010 at The Hunt Community in Nashua, NH. He was born in New Bedford, MA on February 24, 1913, a son of the late Antoni and Aniela (Kuczewski) Wojcicki. Mr. Wojcicki was raised and educated in New Bedford, MA and graduated from New Bedford Institute of Technology. He was involved in the development of torpedo guidance systems in World War II and received a Presidential Citation from President Truman. He made his home in Nashua, NH for more than 20 years and formerly lived in Worcester, MA for 30 years and Providence, RI, for several years. Mr. Wojcicki had been employed as an executive for U.S. Envelope Company, Worcester, MA, for more than three decades. His many interests were working with wood and metal including bird carving and building miniature engines. He loved boating and for a number of years, he operated a business involving antique wooden speed boats at Lake Winnipesaukee. Mr. Wojcicki was a communicant of Infant Jesus Church, Nashua, NH. He was predeceased by his wife, Victoria N. (Rzepa) Wojcicki, who died in 1984. Family members include a daughter and son-in-law, Angela V. and Dr. Robert E. Norman of New Town, PA; a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Anthony M. and Caroline Wojcicki of Amherst, NH; three grandchildren, Victoria Norman of Mansfield, NJ, Dr. Kelly Wojcicki of Bedford, NH and Dane Wojcicki of Missoula, Montana. There are no calling hours. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 11th at 9:30 am in St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford, NH. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Bedford, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 2 Wall Street, Manchester, NH 03101 or the Hunt Community, 10 Allds Street, Nashua, NH 03060.
