Doris E. Rebidue

Doris E. Rebidue, 103, longtime resident of Milford, NH, died June 27, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital Nashua, NH She was born in Peterborough, NH, a daughter of William and Elizabeth (Hugron) McQuade on July 31, 1912. Doris was raised in Greenfield, NH and graduated from Peterborough High School. She earned her degree from Keene Normal School and her Master’s Degree in Education at Keene State College. She began her teaching career in a one room school house in Lyndeborough, NH. Later coming to Milford where she taught 6th grade and was the Principal of the Milford Elementary Schools, until her retirement in 1978. Doris traveled extensively throughout the world, she enjoyed summering at her camp in Nelson, NH and she enjoyed playing cribbage. She was a member and past president of the Harley-Sanford Post #4368, VFW Auxiliary, Milford, NH. She was predeceased by her husband, Roy E. Rebidue. Family members include her son, Douglas Rebidue of Milford, NH; three grandchildren, Amy Rebidue of Florida, Cassandra “Casey” Merchant of Denison, TX, and Courtney Quinones of Gainesville, TX; five great-grandchildren, Kara, Matthew and Joshua Merchant, Kennedy Pierson and Jillian Quinones; a sister, Beverly Ansaldo of Milford, NH, many nieces and nephews. A visiting hour will be Friday, July 1st from 9:30-10:30am in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. Funeral services will follow at 10:30am in the funeral home.
