Charles D. Guidmore, 88, resident of Amherst, NH, died January 15, 2008 at his home. � He was born in Prospect, Maine on August 29, 1919, a son of the late Stanley & Helen (Antonovitch) Guidmore.�He was raised and educated in Frankfort, Maine.�He had been a resident of Amherst, NH for more than 50 years. � Prior to his retirement in 1995, Mr. Gudimore was employed by Nashua Memorial Hospital where he had worked since 1967.�In his earlier years, he worked for French & Heald and later Sprague & Carleton Furniture Companies. � Mr. Guidmore was a beekeeper and an avid gardener.�In addition, he was a member of the Milford Council #3035 Knights of Columbus. � He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran having served during World War II. � Family members include his wife, Miriam (Heino) Guidmore of Amherst, NH; a son and daughter-in-law, Matt & Helen Guidmore of Nashua, NH; a granddaughter, Heidi Guidmore of Nashua, NH; a sister, Alice Bodkin of Melbourne, FL; several nieces, nephews and cousins. � There are no visiting hours.�Funeral services will be private at a later date.�In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.�Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, is in charge of arrangements.��
