Charlene A. Bennett

Charlene A. Bennett, 71, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and resident of Brookline, NH died on May 1, 2021 at her home. She was born in Waltham, MA on September 24, 1949, a daughter of Gordon and Mary (Phillips) Bennett. She was raised and educated in Milford, NH and graduated from Milford High School, Class of 1967. Charlene made her home in Brookline for more than 50 years. She was formerly employed at Hitchiner Manufacturing Company, Milford. Charlene enjoyed politics and enjoyed debates with her son and anyone else brave enough to stand political toe-to-toe with her. She was also passionate about animal welfare and had many domesticated and some wild pets over the years. In addition, she was a communicant of the former Infant Jesus Mission Church in Brookline. Family members include her son, David Bennett of Methuen, MA; three grandchildren, Alexandra Brewster of Dawsonville, GA, Zoe Bennett and Zachary Bennett, both of Methuen, MA; a great granddaughter, Anna Jade Brewster of Dawsonville, GA; and a sister, Janice McCormack of Brookline, NH. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 12th at 10:00 a.m. in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Brookline.
