Betty L. Heater

Betty L. Heater, 87, longtime resident of Milford, died on January 4, 2014 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, Nashua, NH. She was born in Fletcher, Ohio on September 5, 1926, a daughter of Walter and Inez (Sinks) Ely. Mrs. Heater had been employed by Kenmore Stamp Company in Milford for 25 years and had also worked at John & Jackie’s Bakery and The Cookie Box Bakery. She enjoyed scrapbooking, going to yard sales and loved to sew, especially dolls clothes. Mrs. Heater was a member of Harley Sanford Post #4368 VFW Auxiliary, Milford. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Heater, who died in 1981, her son, James L. Heater, who died in 2012; three sisters and a brother. Family members include two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Martha Heater of Temple, NH, Thomas and Mary Heater of Woburn, MA; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; her former daughter-in-law, Linda Richards of Massachusetts; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are private. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery, Piqua, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of New England, 540 Gallivan Blvd., Boston, MA 02124 or Alzheimer’s Association, One Bedford Farms Drive, Suite 105, Bedford, NH 03110.
