Beatrice “Bea” Demers, 81, passed away at her home in Milford, NH on July 13, 2024.

Born February 19, 1943, daughter of Cyrille and Cecile (Duclos) Thibault, Bea was raised in Greenville NH. It was in Greenville that she met a young man who had come from Canada to work seasonally in the orchards. Roland and Bea married in 1962 and made their home in Greenville for many years before moving to Milford in 1998. She and Roland shared 54 years of marriage before he passed away in 2017.

Bea first worked at Tricnit Industries and then at Warwick Mills in 1978, later becoming Weave Department Supervisor. She earned the respect of all who worked with her. She expected her employees to exhibit the same attention to quality and efficiency that she adhered to but also cared deeply for each of them. It was at Warwick that she met her dear friend Pam, a friendship she treasured for more than 40 years.

Bea and Roland did not have children of their own, but became treasured Godparents, Aunt/Uncle, Great Aunt/Uncle to many. In addition, she became the “best doggie mommy in the world” to the “best doggies in the world”. It pained her greatly to not be physically able to have a dog to care for these last few years, but she treasured the stuffed puppy gifted to her by her great nephew Mason for her 80th birthday.

Some of the things that people have shared… sweet”, “spunky”, “sassy”, “strong”, “vibrant”, “spirited”, “she made us laugh”, “savvy”, “unyielding caring” “one of a kind” “gentle” and “kind”.
