Arnold H. Rowe, 71, resident of Hollis, NH, died April 30, 2009 at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH after a courageous battle with acute leukemia. He was born in Springfield, VT on August 5, 1937, a son of the late Harold & Gladys (Holt) Rowe. Mr. Rowe was raised and educated in Chester, VT and graduated from DeVry University, Chicago, Illinois. He resided in Hollis, NH for the past 36 years in the home that he lovingly built with his wife. He had been employed as an electronics engineering assistant for Sanders Associates/ Lockheed Martin for 38 years. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, traveling, woodworking and especially furniture building. In his younger years, he was a competitive skier. Mr. Rowe was a U.S. Army veteran and served for four years at Fort Bliss, Texas and was honorably discharged in January 1964. He was a member of the Pinnacle Mountain Fish & Game Club, Lyndeborough. Family members include his wife of 43 years, Margaret �Margie� (Patterson) Rowe of Hollis, NH; a brother, Francis Rowe of South Windsor, CT; a brother-in-law, Jack Patterson of Dracut, MA; a sister-in-law, Eileen Coutois of Pittsfield, NH; many nieces and nephews. Memorial visiting hours are Saturday, May 9th from 2-4 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH.
