Alice L. Parker

Alice L. Parker, 85, resident of Peterborough, NH, died March 9, 2008 at Harborside Healthcare Center-Pheasantwood in Peterborough.�She was born in Wilton, NH on July 6, 1922, a daughter of the late Lester & Marion (Raymond) Hutchinson.� Her mother died when she was seven years old and she was raised by her maternal grandmother, Loda Raymond.�Mrs. Parker resided in Peterborough for the past 8 months and formerly lived in Milford for 20 years, Nashua, NH for 20 years and Waterville, ME for many years.�She had been employed as an office manager for Standard Hardware Wholesalers, Nashua, NH for 13 years and as a cashier at Cottles Supermarket, Waterville, ME.�She was a loving mother, a devoted grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.�Mrs. Parker was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth F. Parker and a son, Russell V. Varney of Shirley, MA.�Family members include her daughter, Brenda M. Freeman of Milford, NH; two sons, James E. Varney of Nashua, NH, Jon R. Varney of Jackman, ME; 10 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren; several Great-Great Grandchildren; a brother, Lester Hutchinson, Jr. of Wilton, NH; several nieces and nephews.�Visiting hours are Wednesday, March 12th from 5-8 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH.� Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am in the funeral home.� Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Newton, NH.� Donations in her memory may be made to the SHARE Program, P.O. Box 27, Milford, NH� 03055.� Smith & Heald Funeral Home, Milford, is handling arrangements.�
